Accessibility of this site

Updated 18 October 2026

We aim for this site to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

How it is built

  • It uses no JavaScript, and its links, headings, lists, table and expandable questions are native HTML elements. Every link and control can be reached and used with a keyboard alone; we checked this on 18 October 2026.
  • It follows your device’s light or dark setting and its reduced-motion setting.
  • It reflows to a single column at narrow widths and at 400% zoom. The one wide table scrolls inside its own labelled region; its title stays outside it and wraps.
  • Its security policy allows style overrides, so text-spacing tools, user style sheets and browser extensions work.
  • It uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface the Braille Institute designed for readers with low vision.

How we check it

On 18 October 2026 we checked every page with axe-core 4.13 (WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules) in light and dark mode and at 320 pixels wide, and found no violations. We also tested keyboard-only navigation and the visible focus indicator, and measured the contrast of every text and background colour pair: all text is at least 5.6:1. Screen reader testing of this site with NVDA and VoiceOver is next, and its results will be listed here.
